Directions For Mixing
Chickens: Dose calculation:
The daily dose of 1 mg fenbendazole per kg BW (0.454 mg/lb) is equivalent to 0.005 mL Safe-Guard® AquaSol per kg BW (0.00227 mL/lb). The required daily volume of product is calculated from the total estimated body weight [kg] of the entire group of chickens to be treated. Please use the following formula:
Total estimated body weight [kg] of the chickens to be treated x 0.005 mL = mL Safe-Guard® AquaSol/day
Shake well before use.
Practical Dosing Tips:
• Measure water consumption of the birds the day before treatment is to be administered. A variety of factors such as temperature, etc, can influence water intake.
• Determine volume of Safe-Guard® Aqua Sol needed based on weight of the birds.
• Follow this simple two-step dilution process:
Step 1: Pre-dilute the total quantity of Safe-Guard Aquasol by adding to an equal volume of water. Step 2: Mix the pre-diluted Safe-Guard Aquasol into a large waterer or with additional water to create a stock suspension (the amount of water they consumed the day before).
• Daily administration is generally recommended to be given over an 8-hour treatment period. Calculate water consumption for the daily treatment period by measuring water consumption during the same period the prior day.
• Return birds to non-medicated water ad libitum (as needed) following daily treatment period. *Refer to package insert for more details.
Storage:
Store at room temperature. Do not contaminate the medication inside the bottle. If contaminated, it is advised to discard. Do not refrigerate. Do not freeze. Always shake well before use.
